Working With God to Accomplish His Will

“When he saw the crowds, he felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dejected, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.”” Matthew 9:36-38 CSB https://bible.com/bible/1713/mat.9.37.CSB

My prayer is for more laborers to join me in the harvest that is plentiful in Michigan through the ministry of CBMC. We need to see people broken, as distressed and dejected, sheep without a shepherd as God sees people. We need to believe that judgment awaits all of humanity, and each person will be sent either to heaven or hell, determined by their relationship with Jesus. Christians are the bearers of the good news of God’s willingness to pardon every person who reconciles with Him through the work of Jesus accomplished for them. Failure to share the gospel is failure to love our neighbor as ourselves, for who of us wants to spend eternity in torment and suffering? God offers reward for our minimal efforts,  for He convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment. It is God Who opens the eyes of the blind and the ears of the deaf and moves hearts to believe. Yet God longs to include us in His work and reward us with a never-ending reward for faithful effort at that work. Treasure abundant in heaven can be ours if we love people and share with them the only means of escaping the wrath to come. Who will join me in Michigan through CBMC to accomplish God’s purpose for humanity?
