Malachi 3.18 promises, you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.
Sometimes the people of God become discouraged following the Lord because they are not feeling blessed by the Lord as a result of their following Him. We follow Him for what we want from Him, blessing. We don’t follow Him because we love Him. (more…)
Zechariah 11.16 warns, I am about to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for those who are perishing, and he will not seek the lost or heal the broken. He will not sustain the healthy, but he will devour the flesh of the fat sheep and tear off their hooves.
The opposite of the bad shepherd is the man of God who makes his chief work the serving of God for the building of His kingdom upon earth as it is in heaven. (more…)
Revelation 2.26 promises, the one who conquers and who keeps My works to the end: I will give him authority over the nations.
The Lord Jesus promises His reward of eternal life with Him on the new earth to those who conquer and remain faithful to do His will to the end of their days. This challenge, requirement, promise is different from what most Christians believe and speak – that we must merely pray to Jesus for our salvation and so it will be. (more…)

Too much talk, to little action. Everyone wants world peace and for all people to get along yet we see little evidence of this wish coming true. God wills for it to be so and has provided all we need for making it happen. (more…)

deceit. Judah still wanders with God and is faithful to the holy ones.
We hear often that we humans don’t like change. Our prayers reflect this disdain, often asking God for protection and safety instead of faith and courage. (more…)
2 Timothy 1.7-8 records, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power,
love, and sound judgment. So don’t be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, or of me His prisoner. Instead, share in suffering for the gospel, relying on the power of God.
We often fear men more than God. We were created to please God but we often find ourselves more concerned with pleasing men. (more…)
