What was God’s response to some pro-lifers who defied their king? Bless them with children. What was God’s response to His people who were suffering immense hardship in slavery? Bless them with children.

Matthew 18.3 demands unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.
Many people are familiar with this requirement God gives for getting into heaven. The difficulty is understanding what it means.

2 Kings 17.41 observes even while these people were worshiping the Lord, they were serving their idols. To this day their children and grandchildren continue to do as their ancestors did.
The so called, ‘greatest generation’ were the parents of the children who attended high school in the late 1940’s and 1950’s. These people became the parents of those who attended high school in the 1960’s to 1970’s.
The ‘greatest generation’ was considered such because of the selflessness by which they lived their life. They suffered much and paid much to make the life of their children better. (more…)

The goal of Christian parenting is to raise godly children.
Its an outcome parents don’t control which means success or failure are not entirely dependent upon the parent. Children, like parents, are given the ability to choose for themselves which god they will serve.
Parents are God’s agents for moving the odds in His favor if they are faithful to obey His commands and teach them to His and their, children. (more…)
Leviticus 17.8-9 commands: Any Israelite or any foreigner residing among them who offers a burnt 
offering or sacrifice and does not bring it to the entrance to the tent of meeting to sacrifice it to the Lord must be cut off from the people of Israel.
Too many who call themselves Christians profess to love God but despise His Church. God calls His Church His bride so what many Christians declare is that they like the Groom but detest the bride. This attitude makes a relationship difficult. (more…)
Luke 18.17 records God promising anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.
This is a very familiar warning to us but few take it seriously because most of us don’t understand what He means to receive the kingdom like a little child.
We usually begin by thinking of sweet and innocent children all of whom will go to heaven because it only seems fair. Those of us who have children however know they are often not so sweet nor innocent but are rather quite overt in their selfishness.
This takes us back to ignoring the meaning of God’s warning because it fails to make sense to us. (more…)
3 John 1:11 reminds us that those who do what is right prove that they are God’s children; and those who continue in evil prove that they are far from God.
In Christianity, getting to heaven is easy, at least for us, but living as though we are residents of heaven is hard. God made getting to heaven easy by offering freely a pardon to us through His Son Who sacrificed Himself as payment for us.
It cost God His most precious possession to secure His most precious creation: His Son for you and me. For those of us who believe God, He has given us the right to be declared children of God; forever forgiven and forever sealed for spending eternity with Him in heaven and upon the new earth.
Christians don’t have to do anything because everything that was required for getting into heaven has been done by the Son and has been credited to those who humble themselves before God in submission to the Son of God Who is Jesus Christ the Lord. (more…)

The purpose of parenting is to raise godly offspring.
Fantastic conversion stories, while entertaining to listen to, were not to be the normal experience for most people.
Most people who follow Jesus should have as their personal story of trusting Jesus as their Savior something along the lines of being raised in a godly home where Jesus was seen, taught and heard such that we could never not remember believing in Him and one day I simply decided to follow Him as my Lord.
The work of God in a child’s life becomes increasingly more complicated the less parent’s follow Jesus as Savior and Lord. (more…)
