The Reason For Our Spiritual Poverty

Psalms 1.1-2 describes, blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.

The Scripture has many names for the people of God including aliens and strangers in the world. Though our God has left us in this world He commanded that we not be of the world. The beloved Apostle John describes worldliness as loving what our eyes see, what our hearts want and boasting of our accomplishments. Too many Christians are living worldly lives. (more…)

God is NOT like Santa Claus

Jeremiah 20.8,11 describes, whenever I speak, I cry out proclaiming violence and destruction. So the word of the Lord has brought me insult and reproach all day long…….But the Lord is with me like a mighty warrior; so my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will fail and be thoroughly disgraced; their dishonor will never be forgotten. (more…)

Church: Make America Great Again

Isaiah 64.7 observes, no one calls on Your name or strives to lay hold of You; for You have hidden Your face from us and have given us over to our sins.

This chapter, like many of the previous chapters, seems to speak to our country and our church today. All of the many things going wrong in our culture has not driven many yet to the point of perpetual prayer. Who is striving to lay hold of God? (more…)

The Choice is Clear, The Decision Costs Everything

Deuteronomy 30.15-18 offers, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to Him, and to keep His commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. (more…)

God’s Way Is The Only Way To Have Peace Today

Isaiah 33.6 promises, He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.

We need the foundation of the Lord in these times. His ways are the good ways that make it so that men can live with one another in joy, peace and prosperity. His commands are the means by which men can thrive together for they care nothing for color or gender but require all men to love one another as they love themselves. (more…)

The Problem is Simple, Ignorance of Truth

Hebrews 5.14 observes, but solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

This is the problem with so many Christians today, particularly among the youth, they have no discernment between good and evil. Like the world, the media, the university professor, they call good evil and evil good. This is because they have not put to constant use the solid food of the Word of God. (more…)

Who Are We With And What Are We Doing?

2 Timothy 3.2-5 describes, people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

How To Become More Godly

Colossians 3.10 commands, put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

God the Father has the objective of having all people from all time living with Him forever. This will not be the case but that is because men refuse God rather than because God refuses men. Those who love God, those who turn from rebellion and turn toward obedience, are the children of God. (more…)

Why Are You A Christian?

Mark 1.17 invites us to come, follow Me, Jesus said, and I will send you out to fish for people.

Why have we come to Jesus as Savior? Is it because of the guilt we feel from our evil deeds and we seek forgiveness for all we have ever done wrong against God and man? Jesus can do this, making His pardon possible by His death on the cross for all sin by all humanity from all time. (more…)
