The Anomaly That is Jesus

“I am poured out like water,  And all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And my tongue cleaves to my jaws; And You lay me in the dust of death.” (Psa. 22:14 LSB) https://accordance.bible/link/read/LSB#Psa._22:14

Few in the world doubt the reality of the person of Jesus. Most in the world see Him as a man, a prophet, a founder of a new religion. When a person becomes a Christian they realize that Jesus is God, He is the God Who made all things and Who sustains all things. The Divinity of Jesus becomes more emphasized in church and we sometimes lose the thought that He is also fully human, though without sin. In this passage, the prophetic reference to His being crucified as the sacrifice for the sins of all humanity for all time, we see His humanity in His suffering. The human body of Jesus was whipped for our healing, it was bruised for our salvation. He hung on the cross, broken, greatly pained both physically and spiritually for His intimacy with His Father was soon to be broken as He dies for the sins of humanity. This is what makes Jesus so hard to understand. God crucified? How is that possible? The divinity and the humanity of our God is hard to understand and why shouldn’t it be? Do we really think we have the capacity to fully understand the person of God? This may seem like a cop out from explaining everything but there are many things in our world most of us don’t understand that we believe and live with. Jesus is fully God and fully man but since He was born from a virgin, He was born a sinless man and He remained that way His entire life. This too is hard to fathom but is anything impossible with God? This theology can all be boiled down to Jesus loves me this i know for He came to save me from my sin, rising from the dead to give me life forever with Him. He sends His Spirit now to live with me and in me confirming to me all His words are true.
