When Will Our Pain Surpass Our Passivity?

“Therefore, strengthen your listless hands and your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but be healed.” Hebrews 12:12-13 NET https://bible.com/bible/107/heb.12.12-13.NET

Exercise makes us strong. Weakness leads to quick, easy, and long-term injury. The church is weak and fractured if judged by its holy influence upon society. The result of the people of God, the church, not working diligently at building His kingdom upon the earth as it is in heaven. This work is the discipleship of the nations, teaching every person to obey everything the Lord Jesus has commanded, even while seeking to live those same commands. The Lord disciplines His people who refuse to do His work. Have we suffered enough at the hands of the media and university, filling our children’s minds with so much corruption and confusion they know nothing of who they are? Have we suffered enough government corruption with inflation, limited freedom, and scarcity taking so many of our resources? I fear not. I fear we live still too well and that more discipline is necessary for us before we, as God’s people, will humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways so that He will hear our prayers, forgive our sins, and heal our land. The harvest is plentiful. The workers are few. The Lord of the harvest calls forth disciples to follow Him in seeking and saving the lost until all people are reconciled and loving Him by obeying everything He has commanded.
