Galatians 2.16 observes, and yet because we know that a person is not justified
Matthew 19.23 records, Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven.”
The rich man wanted to enter heaven but he missed it. To show him his true love, and this determines our eternal destiny, God required him to give away what was most precious to him. This he could not do. (more…)
1 Peter 1.13 commends, with your minds ready for action, be sober-minded and set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to
Not complicated really how we are to live. We, who hope in the return of Jesus the Savior because we believe in His resurrection from the dead after He perfectly and thoroughly conquered the penalty of sin which is death. We are to live different lives because we are different people, aliens and strangers in this world seeking a better home, a home that lasts forever with God and all those who have ever loved Him by obeying His commands from all time in all places. Isaiah 6.8 records, I heard the voice of the Lord asking: Who should I send? Who will go for us? I said: Here I am. Send me.

God will bring all of our lives to light. (more…)

2 Corinthians 12.9 records, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.
No one wants to be weak. everyone wants to be strong. We despise weakness and we worship strength. Yet the strongest of all, the greatest display of strength ever, we doubt, we ignore and we make little effort to worship, serve or obey Him Who demonstrated this great strength. What is that greatest of all strengths displayed? (more…)
2 Corinthians 5.6 observes, we are always confident and know that while we are at home in the body
Paul is speaking about our physical body though he is encouraging us about our future body. Paul reminds us that while we live on earth we are not at home with the Lord. Our true destiny, our true residence, our true happiness, is with Jesus where He is living bodily; with Him forever. (more…)
