The Lord Jesus promises His reward of eternal life with Him on the new earth to those who conquer and remain faithful to do His will to the end of their days. This challenge, requirement, promise is different from what most Christians believe and speak – that we must merely pray to Jesus for our salvation and so it will be. (more…)

The word repent means to turn the other way, to turn around and go the other direction. It is the first word used in God’s opening message to humanity.

Most would say we are nothing more than human, what else would we be? The Bible takes a different view of those who have been born again, not of human will, but born of the Spirit. These people are children of God, saints, positioned a little lower than the angels! (more…)
Jeremiah 7.23 describes, however, I did give them this command: Obey Me, and then I will be your God, and you will be My people. Follow every way I command you so that it may go well with you.
For the most part we prefer religion over obedience. Religion is easier. Religion keeps us in charge of determining if we are pleasing to God or not. Religion requires the least amount of effort and sacrifice. Religion gives power to a small group of people. Religion keeps things at the surface level rather than at the motive level. The rich man wanted to enter heaven but he missed it. To show him his true love, and this determines our eternal destiny, God required him to give away what was most precious to him. This he could not do. (more…)
