Deuteronomy 30.15-18 offers, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to Him, and to keep His commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. How to Recieve God’s Blessings

Psalms 91.14-16, explains, because he loves Me, says the Lord, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges My Name. He will call on Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.

What is Sin?

John 16.8-9 describes, when He comes, He will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: about sin, because people do not believe in Me.

 

Most people do not believe they are sinners, people marked by doing bad rather than by doing good. Even with all that is going on today, some say the rioters are not sinners, just expressing righteous indignation, others say the police are not sinners, they are just forcibly dealing with bad people. Making Sure We Live Forever With God

Revelation 2.26 promises, the one who conquers and who keeps My works to the end: I will give him authority over the nations.

 

The Lord Jesus promises His reward of eternal life with Him on the new earth to those who conquer and remain faithful to do His will to the end of their days. To Turn Toward God We Must Turn Away From Evil

inscription: The Lord knows those who are his, and let everyone who calls on the name of the Lord turn away from wickedness.

 

The word repent means to turn the other way, to turn around and go the other direction. It is the first word used in God’s opening message to humanity.
