Is Identifying with God Embarrassing?
Psalm 25.3 records,…
1 Timothy 2.4-7declares, He wants not only us but everyone saved, you know, everyone to get to know
the truth we’ve learned: that there’s one God and only one, and one Priest-Mediator between God and us—Jesus, who offered Himself in exchange for everyone held captive by sin, to set them all free. Eventually the news is going to get out. This and this only has been my appointed work: getting this news to those who have never heard of God, and explaining how it works by simple faith and plain truth.
The will of God is for all people everywhere to know Him and to grow into His image becoming just like His first born Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. The means God has ordained for accomplishing His will is through His people, the Church, obedient to His command to go and make disciples. Every person in Christ, is to be a part of bringing every person separated from Christ, to Christ, for reconciliation. (more…)
Mark 4.20 observes, the seed planted in the good earth represents those who hear the Word, embrace
it, and produce a harvest beyond their wildest dreams.
What separates the good soil from the three other soils? All of the ground received the word. All of the ground welcomed the seed onto it’s presence. The purpose of the ground is to receive seed, but for what? (more…)
John 6.39-40 records, that everything handed over to Me by the Father be completed—not a single detail missed—and at the wrap-up of time I have everything and everyone put together, upright and whole. This is what My Father wants: that anyone who sees the Son and trusts who He is and what He does and then aligns with Him will enter real life, eternal life.
Can Jesus be your Savior and not be your Lord? Can a person get to heaven with only half of Jesus? Jesus is both Savior of all and Lord of all. He is Judge of all and is the only One Who gives eternal life to be spent with Him and the Father and all Who are His adopted children. (more…)
John 4.34-35 observes, Jesus said, The food that keeps Me going is that I do the will of the One who
sent Me, finishing the work He started. As you look around right now, wouldn’t you say that in about four months it will be time to harvest? Well, I’m telling you to open your eyes and take a good look at what’s right in front of you. These Samaritan fields are ripe. It’s harvest time!
Food is fuel, fuel necessary for accomplishing the goals we have for our life. Not enough food and food is all we think about. Too much food and we are unhappy physically becoming lethargic until the fullness goes away. Too little food and we will eat anything. Too much food and we become picky. Too little food and we become scrawny and weak. Too much food and we become fat and weak. (more…)
Luke 19.26 encourages and warns, risk your life and get more than you ever dreamed of. Play it safe and
end up holding the bag.
Who are the most successful people in the world? Those who risked when others played it safe. Nearly all successful business owners threw in everything they had in order to gain what they really wanted. The athlete too sacrifices their time, their diet even their friends in order to become the very best and win the gold medal. (more…)
Luke 7.47 observes, if the forgiveness is minimal, the gratitude is minimal.
Public education has spent the last 50 years teaching us that we are born good but due to poor environments go bad. This is why everyone is a winner and we work so hard to keep anyone from feeling like a loser. All are given a trophy for attendance rather than performance. God teaches us something different in His biography. (more…)
Mark 12.34 comments, you’re almost there, right on the border of God’s kingdom.
Who was this man that God observed, was almost there? First, its not a good thing to be ‘almost there’ in the eyes of God. If ‘there’ is heaven the only other destiny is hell. We don’t want God to say we are almost in heaven! So who was this man? (more…)
Matthew 26.41 describes, there is a part of you that is eager, ready for anything in God. But there’s
another part that’s as lazy as an old dog sleeping by the fire.
No doubt all of us fall into this same description as a follower of Jesus: a part of us is eager to know God and serve Him but another part is as lazy as an old dog sleeping by the fire. Which part wins determines our destiny in many ways. (more…)
Matthew 23.8-10 warns, don’t let people do that to you, put you on a pedestal like that. You all have a
single Teacher, and you are all classmates. Don’t set people up as experts over your life, letting them tell you what to do. Save that authority for God; let him tell you what to do. No one else should carry the title of ‘Father’; you have only one Father, and he’s in heaven. And don’t let people maneuver you into taking charge of them. There is only one Life-Leader for you and them—Christ. (more…)
